Sicilian 1291 AD:
King James II of Aragon, Reg Kn (S),
3xBw(X)+3xBw(O), 6xRegLh(F), 8xIrrAx(S), 1xReg Ps(O)
Fredrick, Viceroy of Sicily-Reg Kn(O),
3xIrrKn(O), 5xIrrLh(O), 8xIrrBw(I), 1xRegKn(O), 1xReg Ps(O)
Roger de Lauria, Admiral of the Fleet & Scourge of the Barbary Coast-
Reg Kn(O),
10xIrrAx(S), 7xIrrPs(O), 2xRegLh(F), 4xRegBw(O), 2xIrrHd(O)
King Sancho IV, King of Castile (treacherous bastard!) – Irr Kn(O)
2xIrrKn(O), 1xIrrHd
I like the fourth command as it
gives me some deployment options and provides for its own die for
few elements. Still the list is quite resilient for a regular army
at 65 elements. With Roger, I've got a command that will contest
any rough terrain yet still be OK vs. mounted in the open. I
usually do well when I remember to deploy the two Aux commands where
they can support the other. The same goes for the Knight
commands.
