Using the army is straight forward.
The larger sub-general's command goes on the most open flank, and is usually the first command to be placed, and the other commands then extend infield from there. The small sub-general's command will be the second command placed as it give little away and the C-in-C will usually be the last which allows you to decide whether to mass the El and Bd or interleve them depending on what they are facing. Generally it is fighting troops up front and the weaker infantry hiding at the back, although the Bw(O) should be used agressively against mounted opponents supported by their sub-general. One useful thing to remember is that if you place the Irr Bd in rough or difficult terrain they can be held for 1 PIP which means the C-in-C is always guaranteed at least a move straight forward even if you do this - sometimes they are better hidden away.
The basic tactic of this army is to get as many El into combat with the enemy as quickly as possible. Don't worry overly about flanks or the opponent trying to get Ps infront of your El - you'll squash them most of the time. The El generals must fight.
