Tamil Indian and Sinhalese - Chola Empire Option
This list can be suitable for beginners. I have put one together that my 7 year old son has used to some effect. The idea is to have an army that is really tough frontally, with a high aggression so it invades and moves first. With high initial PIP dice you advance as far and as fast as possible - your army is then entirely your opponents problem !
The negative to this is a relatively small frontage which means flanks can be exposed and exploited. Against a competent player this is a problem.
The army below was run by my son with some success. The three large commands are all the same size for deployment purposes (Naval usually don't count but check with your umpire). The Naval allows for the chance of a Waterway to narrow the table. The two large commands have Regular Bw for flank protection. The small command is of use where scoring systems do not penalise the loss of commands - e.g. 3-2-1-0 or +100. The main commands alternate elephants and blades in the front line, anything the blades dislike the elephants can deal with and vice-versa (usually).
