This army is known for having an attractive array of troop types but just not the mixes that are effective on the tabletop. It also has Agg 2 which is always a warning sign.
<Anthony Winter>
This is a great army for gimmikery and for those who want a lot of variety. Below is a list which I've enjoyed playing in 3.1.
Command 1 has the elephant wil be ok to take on anything that the KnX cant and the AxS move with the elephant to protect one side of the phalanx.
Command 2 is the phalanx-lite which needs to aim at heavy foot and not stop.
If using the galatians they should be nuzzled either side fo the pike general's file with a file of Pike O outside of these. The idea is that when you hit blade, pike or spear the general is likely to push them back, followign up and giving both warband an overlap in their quick kill.
Command 3 is lots of fun to play as it has five expendables (3 scythed chariots, a superior elephant and a Knight General ( ie the command doesnt break if the general and elS die so long as you can give them a decent pip die when the general bites the dust. Not sure if the elephant should be in here. Sometimes just another KnF companion goes with the general or an artillery O. If in column the chariots can be steered alongside the enemy in an on table flank march, ambushed or simply pointed at things it likes to burn enemy pips in the early phases of the game. Its a ripper to flank march as well. The horde in this command should always be ambushed where they'll never be discovered or swaddling the baggage.
Command 4 Should be able to take any terrain while the Light horse skirmish enemy mounted. The Ax can protect the other flank of the phalanx to make sure it gets into contact unmolested.
